A Freehold man was charged with robbery after he attempted to shoplift from a store and in the process, injured a loss prevention officer.
A Freehold man has been charged with robbery after he allegedly attempted to shoplift from CVS. Freehold Borough Police arrested Luis A. Colon-Rosario, 34, of Avenue A, on Sunday, Feb. 17. According to Rosario’s complaint warrant, he committed the act of robbery by inflicting bodily harm against a loss prevention officer during a shoplifting investigation at CVS. Rosario has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI) on $50,000.

Freehold Township Police arrested a woman and charged her with forgery, receiving stolen property and uttering a forged document.
A woman was arrested and charged by Freehold Township Police on Wednesday, after she allegedly attempted to use a forged prescription to obtain a controlled dangerous substance. Valerie Scott, 48, whose last known address is in Rahway, allegedly entered the Freehold Township CVS and tried to fill a prescription for oxycodone. For the alleged action, Scott has been charged with fraud and with receiving stolen property. According to Scott’s complaint warrant, she allegedly knew the prescription blank she possessed was stolen. Scott has also been charged with uttering a forged document. Scott has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI) on $60,000 bail.

Freehold Township Police arrested a Colts Neck man and charged him with stealing, forgery, and fraud, following multiple summer incidents. Robert Hanna, 44, faces a total of eight charges after he allegedly stole prescription blanks from the Freehold Borough CVS and Little Silver Walgreens and used the stolen scripts to obtain prescription drugs. According to Hanna’s complaint warrant, on June 18, July 23, and Sept. 25, Hanna forged the stolen prescription blanks from the Freehold Borough CVS and used them to obtain Adderall. On June 12, July 30, Aug. 13, and Sept. 20, Hanna also allegedly used the stolen prescription blanks from the Little Silver Walgreens to fraudulently obtain Adderall.
