Freehold Intermediate Identified as Focus School by DOE
The school has been identified as needing targeted support by the new statewide accountability system.
The Christie Administration named Freehold Intermediate School a Focus School last week, as part of its new statewide accountability system. This system has been developed from the No Child Left Behind Act. “This is all part of the NCLB waiver and new accountability system that is going to be implemented in NJ. Schools will now fall into Priority, Focus, or Reward schools OR be uncategorized,” explained Freehold Borough Schools Superintendent Liz O’Connell. The rest of the school district falls in the uncategorized category.
