Chase Bank in Colts Neck was robbed at gunpoint on Thursday, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. Police said a male at 5'11" with brown hair and glasses walked into the bank around 5 p.m. and pointed a gun at the bank teller, demanding money. After receiving the cash, the suspect fled in a dark two-door Infiniti with New York license plates. Police said the car headed south on Route 34, then north on Route 18. Mayor retrieved dog's body next to live wire, angry JCP&L did not immediately fix it after resident's call.
The life of an 8-month-old German Shepherd ended Thursday when the dog found itself in the wrong place at the wrong time in a Colts Neck neighborhood. Lisa Loew Mason was bringing out the trash with her dog, Rosie, by her side. Rosie spotted two dogs running in a field across the street, and took off after them. The dogs across the street had gotten loose because a neighbor's electric fence was without power. In an attempt to catch up, Loew Mason hopped in her car. Not a block away, she found Rosie in the street next to a utility pole. "I went up to her and was calling her name, I thought maybe she had just been shocked," Loew Mason said. Carole Carney, 25 and Michael Grabowski, 30 were indicted on four counts of burglary in Freehold Township.
Carole Carney, 25 and Michael Grabowski, 30 of Colts Neck were both indicted last week on three counts of burglary, after being charged with the burglary of three homes in Freehold Township in June. Carney and Grabowski were the target of a police investigation, after burglaries on Buckingham Drive, Hoover Street and Camille Lane in Freehold Township, according to an arrest warrant issued by the Freehold Township Police Department. Jewelry in the amount of at least $40,000 was stolen from the home on Buckingham Drive, according to police records. Carney and Grabowksi were also indicted on one charge of fencing by trafficking stolen property valued at $871.

The fire happened on the Colts Neck, Upper Freehold border.
A car caught fire Sunday afternoon on Interstate 195 at the Upper Freehold, nearing Colts Neck. No injuries were reported, and the fire was extinguished while police and fire officials were able to keep one lane open on the road. Hope Fire Company of Allentown was first on the scene. Carole Carney, 25, was arrested on Monday after allegedly taking part in three Freehold Township burglaries. Carney was the target of a police investigation, after burglaries on Buckingham Drive, Hoover Street and Camille Lane in Freehold Township, according to an arrest warrant issued by the Freehold Township Police Department. Jewelry in the amount of at least $40,000 was stolen from the home on Buckingham Drive, according to police records. County initial appearance records indicate Carney allegedly conspired to commit the burglaries with Michael Grabowski. Carney is cited to have a criminal history, and is charged with three counts of burglary, theft by unlawful taking and conspiracy to commit burglary. Carney is currently being held …
