FBPD Charge Men with Forgery
A Brick man and a Lakewood man allegedly used counterfeit bills at Freehold stores.
Freehold Borough Police arrested a Brick man and a Lakewood man after they allegedly used counterfeit money to purchase goods at Freehold stores. John Dew, 39, of Schindler Drive in Brick, and Ryheem Johnson, 20, of Kennedy Blvd in Lakewood, each face two charges of forgery and two charges of fraud following multiple Saturday, Nov. 17 incidents. According to the complaint warrant, Dew entered The Main Street Mini Mart, 41 East Main Street, and used a counterfeit $20 bill while there. Johnson allegedly also used a counterfeit $20 bill at Bahia De Acapulco Fonda. On the same day, both Dew and Johnson both allegedly used a $20 counterfeit bill at The Oak Hill Deli.
