‘Forever Hunger’ written by Freehold Township Committeeman David Salkin is available to download for free until Saturday.
A Freehold resident’s book has reached the number three spot on the Amazon Best Seller’s list for the free horror books. ‘Forever Hunger’ was published in Jan. of 2012, and was Freehold Township Committeeman David Salkin’s fourth published novel. The book marked a lot of first in Salkin’s career including his first Ebook and first novel in the horror genre. Earlier this week, Salkin decided to make his novel more available to readers by making ‘Forever Hunger’ free to download until Saturday. Since he made the decision to offer the book as a free download, it has jumped up Amazon’s Best Sellers list in the free horror category. David Salkin’s newest self-published novel “The Team” receives multiple five-star reviews on Amazon.
Freehold Township Deputy Mayor David Salkin is transporting people out of their homes and into the jungle with his newest self-published novel, The Team. Freehold Township resident and author David M. Salkin will be guest speaking at the Battleground Historical Society meeting at The Village Inn in Englishtown Friday night at 7:30 p.m. Salkin, the Deputy Mayor of Freehold Township, has four novels published, all of which are thrillers. His latest novel, Forever Hunger, is a crime story with a twist - the killer has been dead for a few hundred years. Salkin’s other published novels include Crescent Fire, Necessary Extremes, and The MOP. The Deputy Mayor has served as Freehold Township Mayor in 2011, 2005, and 1999; he has been a member of the Township Committee since 1994. The Republicans seeking reelection to two three-year Freehold Township Committee seats believe the municipality is a model of good government in New Jersey. Mayor David Salkin, 46, and Deputy Mayor Eugene Golub, 71, are running against Democratic challengers Jennie “JJ” Jeannette Mistretta and Edward Horigan in the November election.
