Freehold's Lianah Sta. Ana Charms Crowd at Philippine Independence Reception

The Filipino Americans of Monmouth County sponsored a reception at the Monmouth County Library on Wednesday, June 1 to kick off the Filipino Art Exhibit; the exhibit will be on display at the library from June 1 through June 30. The FAMC is made up of approximately 120 Filipino families from Monmouth County.  Eric Aguilos, President of the Filipino Americans of Monmouth County (FAMC), said that the art exhibit is a month-long commemoration of Phillipine Independence Day, which is celebrated on June 12.  The FAMC sponsors between six and seven events a year, the art exhibit and opening reception taking place for the first time at library headquarters in Manalapan.  The reception took place in a meeting room within the library where Filipino…
