FTPD Charge Pennsylvania Man with Forgery

Man allegedly attempted to obtain $300 after attempting to pass a fraudulent check.

A Pennsylvania man faces multiple charges after he allegedly attempted to forge a traveler’s check while in Freehold Township. Jonathan A. Fernandez, 20, of Ashley Pa., has been charged with forgery, theft by deception and fleeing the scene of a crime. Freehold Township Police arrested Fernandez on Monday, Jan. 7. According to his complaint warrant, Fernandez attempted to receive $300 in cash after passing a fraudulent check. The complaint warrant further explains that Fernandez fled from a uniformed police officer while the officer was lawfully arresting him and conducting a police investigation. Fernandez has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI) on $3,000 bail for all three charges.

Woman Accused of Passing Forged Prescription at Freehold CVS

Freehold Township Police arrested a woman and charged her with forgery, receiving stolen property and uttering a forged document.

A woman was arrested and charged by Freehold Township Police on Wednesday, after she allegedly attempted to use a forged prescription to obtain a controlled dangerous substance. Valerie Scott, 48, whose last known address is in Rahway, allegedly entered the Freehold Township CVS and tried to fill a prescription for oxycodone. For the alleged action, Scott has been charged with fraud and with receiving stolen property. According to Scott’s complaint warrant, she allegedly knew the prescription blank she possessed was stolen. Scott has also been charged with uttering a forged document. Scott has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI) on $60,000 bail.

Alleged Church Thief from Colts Neck Accused of Stealing from Freehold CVS

Hanna has also been arrested for allegedly stealing from churches in Holmdel and Red Bank, as well as thefts in Little Silver and Howell.

Freehold Township Police arrested a Colts Neck man and charged him with stealing, forgery, and fraud, following multiple summer incidents. Robert Hanna, 44, faces a total of eight charges after he allegedly stole prescription blanks from the Freehold Borough CVS and Little Silver Walgreens and used the stolen scripts to obtain prescription drugs. According to Hanna’s complaint warrant, on June 18, July 23, and Sept. 25, Hanna forged the stolen prescription blanks from the Freehold Borough CVS and used them to obtain Adderall. On June 12, July 30, Aug. 13, and Sept. 20, Hanna also allegedly used the stolen prescription blanks from the Little Silver Walgreens to fraudulently obtain Adderall. FBPD Charge Men with Forgery

A Brick man and a Lakewood man allegedly used counterfeit bills at Freehold stores.

Freehold Borough Police arrested a Brick man and a Lakewood man after they allegedly used counterfeit money to purchase goods at Freehold stores. John Dew, 39, of Schindler Drive in Brick, and Ryheem Johnson, 20, of Kennedy Blvd in Lakewood, each face two charges of forgery and two charges of fraud following multiple Saturday, Nov. 17 incidents. According to the complaint warrant, Dew entered The Main Street Mini Mart, 41 East Main Street, and used a counterfeit $20 bill while there. Johnson allegedly also used a counterfeit $20 bill at Bahia De Acapulco Fonda. On the same day, both Dew and Johnson both allegedly used a $20 counterfeit bill at The Oak Hill Deli. Freehold Man Allegedly Tried to Use Fake Money, Identity at Staples

He is indicted on two counts of forgery.

A Monmouth County grand jury indicted a Freehold man with 2 counts of forgery for allegedly using fake money and a fake name. Michael B. Petterson, 37, of Ragley Hall, allegedly tried to use forged money Staples in Howell. When police questioned him, Hall allegedly gave false information to the reporting officer. Petterson is indicted on one count of uttering a forged instrument, a third degree crime, and hindering apprehension of oneself, a fourth degree crime.
