Holiday House Tour Returns This Weekend

Tickets still available for Freehold Borough Historic Preservation Commission’s second annual Holiday House Tour.

For the second year in a row, the Freehold Borough Historic Preservation Commission is getting residents into the holiday spirit with a historic twist. On Saturday, Dec. 8 the commission is hosting their second annual Holiday House Tour. The tour will bring guests to a select number of decked-out homes and buildings that visually celebrate the traditional holiday season. According to a press release, stops on this year’s tour include Olive Branch Lodge No. 16, Covenhoven House, and three neighborhood homes. Guests on the tour will be able to enjoy festive decor inside and outside the homes, many of which feature family heirlooms and traditions. Preparations for Holiday House Tour Beginning Now

The Freehold Borough Historic Preservation Committee is looking for neighborhood homes that would be interested in participating in the 2012 Holiday House Tour.

A Freehold Borough commission is starting to prepare for another upcoming holiday season with a follow-up Holiday House tour. Due to the enthusiasm of the participants, The Freehold Borough Historic Preservation Committee will be hosting another Holiday House Tour this year on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 5 until 9 p.m. Tickets will be $15 for adults, $5 for children. The tour will start at the American Hotel where ticket holders will receive their booklets, have the opportunity to get their picture with Santa and enjoy some holiday cheer, hospitality and caroling. The stops will consist of festively trimmed Borough homes that make the town unique. Each home will be viewed for 10 to 15 minutes in order to allow tour-goers to view the interior of…

According to the National Weather Service, today will be sunny, with a high near 55. Overnight will be clear, but temperatures will drop for a low around 29. There will be a Freehold Borough Historic Preservation Committee meeting tonight at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Borough Offices.
