Freehold Borough Plans to Adopt Tentative Budget

The Freehold Borough Board of Education (BOE) will take state funding numbers into consideration before adopting tentative budget Monday, March 4.

The Freehold Borough Board of Education (BOE) plans to adopt their tentative 2013-2014 school year budget on Monday, March 4. Last week, New Jersey state funding numbers were released, giving school districts a more accurate picture of what next year's budget will look like. From those numbers, Freehold Borough schools learned that they would be receiving more aid than last year. With the chaos of the holiday season upon us here is a look how at how December will run for students in the Freehold Borough School District, Freehold Township School District and students in the Freehold Regional High School District (FRHSD). The Week Ahead: Getting Back on Track After Hurricane Sandy

The Cabin Restaurant is helping support the Freehold Memorial Day Parade by donating proceeds from dinner on Tuesday, Nov. 12. Residents who come to The Cabin on Tuesday between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. with this flyer, will donate 20% of their pre-tax and pre-liquor bill to the Freehold Memorial Day Parade. UPDATE: Nor'easter Closes Freehold Borough Schools

Two-hour delay changes to school closing.

This story was updated at 10 p.m. Wednesday. Freehold Borough students will have Thursday off due to inclement weather. At 6:30 p.m. an announcement on the Freehold Borough School District website stated that schools would operate on a two-hour delayed opening schedule on Thursday. At 10 p.m. that announcement changed to state that all Freehold Borough Schools and Offices would be closed on Thursday because of the weather. At this time, Friday is still scheduled to be a regular school day. It will be the first full day of school in the last two weeks.
