Support First Aid While Enjoying Breakfast

Tickets for the Freehold First Aid Breakfast are now available.

The Freehold First Aid Fundraising Committee invites all to enjoy a delicious breakfast and support a local cause. On Saturday, Sept. 22 the Applebee’s off Route 9 in Manalapan will be serving breakfast to benefit the Freehold First Aid. From 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. attendees can enjoy pancakes, sausage, eggs, and beverages, with the purchase of a $10 ticket. Proceeds from the breakfast will go towards much needed equipment and supplies for the all-volunteer First Aid and Emergency Squad. Funds are also used to train members.  Tickets for the breakfast are on sale now and can be purchased at the door on the day of the event.  To purchase your tickets today, call 732-462-4558, or email freeholdfirstaidfundrasing@gmail.com.

Manley Family Gets Helping Hand from Let's Yo

The self-serve yogurt store in Freehold will be donating its Thursday profits to family who lost home in electrical fire.

A new business in town is lending a helping hand to a Freehold family in need. On July 30, the Manley family of Freehold Township lost everything after an electrical fire destroyed their home. No one was injured in the fire because the family was away on vacation at the time.  Earlier this year, soon-to-be first grader Michael Manley, organized and collected care packages for soldiers serving in Afghanistan. Now the family is living in a hotel until they receive temporary housing.  Friends of the Manley's have been actively seeking donations for the family. Last Chance: Dine Downtown Freehold to Support the Parade

Federici's Pizzeria, Metropolitan Cafe, and The Court Jester will all donate 10 percent of your purchase to the Freehold Memorial Day Parade May 7-9.

Hungry? Head to downtown Freehold and enjoy a delicious meal with bonus points. From May 7-9, three Freehold Borough restaurants will donate 10% of your pre-tax food bill to support the Freehold Memorial Day Parade. Alcoholic beverages are not included. Federici’s Pizzeria, The Court Jester and Metropolitan Café are all participating restaurants. All you need to do is print the flyer attached to this article and present it to your server. Although Halloween is months away, the Freehold Spooktacular committee is already getting ready. The committee is hosting a breakfast at Applebee’s of Manalapan on Saturday, May 5, 8-10 a.m.     Tickets are $10 and include pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs and beverage. Proceeds benefit the annual Spooktacular events which are all free. Events include window painting by regional high school students, haunted hayrides, a pumpkin carving contest, and a costume parade.  For breakfast tickets or to make a donation in support of these annual events, please call 732-462-4558.  Tickets are also available at the door.

Sell Your Stuff at the Park Ave School Giant Yard Sale

The PTO sponsored event on April 28 costs $10 to be a vendor and is free to be a shopper.

Busy spring-cleaning and wish you could make a buck on all of that stuff you don’t need anymore instead of just throwing it out? Good News! You can register to be a vender in the Park Avenue Elementary School Giant Yard Sale sponsored by the PTO. Carolyn Patrick is a yard sale veteran, co-chairing the event for the 5th year in a row. She says the sale keeps both vendors and buyers coming back every year. “It really is a fun event and many people, both vendors and buyers, look forward to it,” she said. Patrick says they expect over 300 people to attend the sale on Saturday April 28 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 in the afternoon. Freehold First Aid Receives 8K Check

The Freehold First Aid Fundraising Committee raised the money at the Life Support Boutique and Gift Auction.

The Freehold First Aid received a really large $8,000 check to at their meeting on Thursday night. “The Squad, which is all-volunteer, was overwhelmed with the amount of the check,” said Judi Guy, chair of the Freehold First Aid Fundraising Committee. The Freehold First Aid Fundraising Committee raised this money through their Life Support Boutique and Gift Auction on March 24 at the Park Avenue School. The original goal of the committee was $5,000. The event was born when Guy heard about decreasing amount of donations received by the organization.
