The self-serve yogurt store in Freehold will be donating its Thursday profits to family who lost home in electrical fire.
A new business in town is lending a helping hand to a Freehold family in need. On July 30, the Manley family of Freehold Township lost everything after an electrical fire destroyed their home. No one was injured in the fire because the family was away on vacation at the time. Earlier this year, soon-to-be first grader Michael Manley, organized and collected care packages for soldiers serving in Afghanistan. Now the family is living in a hotel until they receive temporary housing. Friends of the Manley's have been actively seeking donations for the family. While asking for donations on Facebook, one of the messages found its way to Pete Chalfin, owner of the new Let's Yo yogurt shop in Freehold. "A bunch of local moms were spreading the …

The PTO sponsored event on April 28 costs $10 to be a vendor and is free to be a shopper.

You can register to be a vender in the Park Avenue Elementary School Giant Yard Sale sponsored by the PTO. Carolyn Patrick is a yard sale veteran, co-chairing the event for the 5th year in a row. She says the sale keeps both vendors and buyers coming back every year. “It really is a fun event and many people, both vendors and buyers, look forward to it,” she said. Patrick says they expect over 300 people to attend the sale on Saturday April 28 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 in the afternoon.
