Flavor of Freehold Kicks Off Irish Week

Irish Week in Freehold Borough began Tuesday night with the first evening of Flavor of Freehold.

The sky in Freehold Borough cleared up Tuesday evening to allow Freehold diners an opportunity to sample some of the best food Freehold has to offer. For $10, diners got to sample food from 13 local restaurants including Café 360, American Hotel Market Grille, Metropolitan Café, A Little Bit of Cuba Dos, San Marzano, The Court Jester, Sweet Lew’s Café, Solo Trattoria, Texas Mexican Restaurant, Giovanna’s Ristorante, L’Acqua and two of Downtown Freehold’s newest restaurants; Ginger and Sapori. After diners sampled dishes at each restaurant they were invited to stop into Freehold Jewelers and Especially for you Florist & Gift Shop. After stopping in all businesses, participants were able to qualify for a $100 Downtown Freehold Gift …

Downtown Freehold Announces St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations

Irish Week in Freehold Borough will begin Tuesday, March 12 and will continue through St. Patrick's Day.

In a few weeks, Freehold will be seeing green, with the kick off of Irish Week. Starting on March 12, Downtown Freehold will begin its St. Patrick’s Day celebrations with Irish Week featuring local food, drink and music. From 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday March 12 and Wednesday March 13, Downtown Freehold will host the Flavor of Freehold. Ticket holders will be able to experience some of Freehold’s most loved restaurants and shops.  A complete list of participating businesses can be seen here. Tickets for the event cost $10 per person and can be purchased at the Downtown Freehold Office or at flavor-freehold.weebly.com. Irish Week continues with Downtown Freehold’s Pub Crawl. I'm another Lisa. I do understand where Curious George is coming from. Excessive, reckless and irresponsible drinking can occur in folks of any age, really. Certainly, people who do have problems limiting alcohol intake can take advantage of these types of events.
