Last Chance: Register to Vote in the Primary Elections

Registration is open at the Monmouth County Voter Registration Office in Freehold Township until 9:00 p.m. on May 15.

Today is your last chance to register to vote in the June 5 primary. Freehold Borough will have the first contested primary in almost two decades, so you want to have your voice heard! If you would like to register, head to the Monmouth County Voter Registration Office in Freehold Township. Registration will be open until 9:00 p.m. on May 15. In order to register, you will need to enter a driver’s license number or the last four digits of your Social Security number on the New Jersey Voter Registration form. In a rush? Save some time by downloading a copy of the New Jersey Voter Registration form, filling it out beforehand and taking it with you when you register. Last Chance: Dine Downtown Freehold to Support the Parade

Federici's Pizzeria, Metropolitan Cafe, and The Court Jester will all donate 10 percent of your purchase to the Freehold Memorial Day Parade May 7-9.

From May 7-9, three Freehold Borough restaurants will donate 10% of your pre-tax food bill to support the Freehold Memorial Day Parade. Alcoholic beverages are not included. Last Chance: 15th Annual Tour of Colts Neck Classic Bicycle Race

Registration ends today, May 4.

Today is the last chance to register for the Fifteenth Annual Tour of Colts Neck Classic Bicycle Race, which will take place this Sunday. Cyclists can register at bikereg.com. Entry is free for all Colts Neck residents. Registration for non-Colts Neck residents costs $20-$30, depending on the race. This year's race continues the more convenient registration, parking, and spectator area adjacent to the start and finish lines introduced last year. The event begins at 8 a.m. at Thompson Park in Lincroft. See the attached flyer for details about specific races and start times.

Last Chance: Donate to Monmouth County Food Drive

You can drop donations off at Hall of Records in Freehold and the Agriculture and Human Services Building in Freehold Township

With less than a week to go in the month of April the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders is continuing a food drive that has collected more than five tons of items for the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. The drive is being held in April which is also National County Government Month. This year's theme is "Healthy Counties, Healthy Families." Freeholder Deputy Director John P. Curley said the drive has been a rousing success so far. "We are so pleased with the generosity our residents have shown during this food drive," he said. Last Chance: Be a Vendor at the Park Ave School Giant Yard Sale

There is only 24 hours left to register to be a vender in the Park Avenue Elementary School Giant Yard Sale sponsored by the PTO. The deadline to register is April 25. Carolyn Patrick is a yard sale veteran, co-chairing the event for the 5th year in a row. She says the sale keeps both vendors and buyers coming back every year. “It really is a fun event and many people, both vendors and buyers, look forward to it,” she said. Patrick says they expect over 300 people to attend the sale on Saturday April 28 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 in the afternoon. Operation Kitty CHIP will take place at Michael J. Tighe Park on Saturday, March 31.

The Freehold Township Health Department is offering a free rabies shot and pet microchip with the purchase of a cat license as part of its Operation Kitty CHIP event. Bring your cat to Michael J. Tighe Park on Saturday, March 31 between 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. to license your cat. The annual cost of cat license in Freehold Township is $11 for spayed and neutered pets and $30 for non-spayed and non-neutered animals. A three-year license is available for $33 for spayed and neutered cats and $90 for non-spayed and non-neutered cats.
