Woman Stabbed Multiple Times in Middletown Bed Bath & Beyond

Woman transported by medevac to Jersey Shore U. Medical Center. Investigation proceeding "very actively," says police chief.

Update, 11 p.m.: Middletown Man Charged with Attempted Murder in Bed Bath & Beyond Stabbing --- A woman suffered significant blood loss after she was allegedly stabbed more than a dozen times in the back and other parts of her body by a man at Bed Bath & Beyond around 4 p.m. today. The woman's identity was not released, but she was said to be in her 30s and shopping inside the store with her small child when she was attacked. Middletown Township First Aid and MONOC medics transported the woman to Thorne Middle School, where she was taken by Northstar medevac to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, according to Assistant Middletown First Aid spokesperson Beth Edwards. It was reported that the patient was conscious and alert. Mariners Cove Fire Leaves One Critically Injured

No word yet on cause of fire

Early this morning several local fire companies were dispatched to a fire on Mariners Cove where one person was rescued from the burning building.  Lt. Tom Connors of the Howell Police Department reported that a little after 6:50 Friday morning the Adelphia Fire Company responded to a call of a fire at 31 Mariners Cove where 62-year-old Jose Soto was found still inside the house. Suffering what Connors called "fairly significant burns," Soto was removed from the house and taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition.  Connors said the fire was contained to the one house and there were no other reported injuries.  In addition to the Adelphia company mutual aid was provided by the Southard and …

UPDATE: Police Identify Man Killed in Route 547 Crash in Howell

Motorcycle was hit by large SUV

The Howell Police Department announced on Monday night that 41-year-old Point Pleasant resident Scott Incalcatera was the man killed on Saturday when his motorcycle was struck near the intersection of Route 547 and Miller Road.  According to Sgt. Joseph Markulic of the Howell Police Department Isidor S. Palmeri, 35, of Jackson was attempting to to make a left from the northbound lane in his 2013 GMC Yukon when he struck the Incalcatera who was traveling south.  Markulic said Incalcatera, who was not originally identified pending family notification, attempted to stop and put the motorcycle on its side before being hit by the truck. The motorcycle was identified as a 2002 Suzuki GSXR 750. Incalcatera was pronounced dead at the scene. …
