Resident Accused of Eluding Freehold Borough Police

Man allegedly refused to stop for law enforcement while driving.

A Freehold Borough man was arrested Tuesday night after he allegedly attempted to escape from a law enforcement officer. Freehold Borough Police have charged Lionel K. Ramey, 48, of Barkalow Avenue, with eluding law enforcement, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. According to Ramey’s complaint warrant, he refused to stop for a police car that had sirens and lights flashing. Ramey also allegedly attempted to escape from the officer, by getting out of the car while it was still in drive and then getting back in before being stopped. Once he was stopped by police, Ramey allegedly attempted to resist arrest by trying to get up onto his feet after the law enforcement officer commanded him to get on the ground. …

Residents Arrested After Alleged Violent Robbery

Both men face multiple charges, including resisting arrest and robbery.

Freehold Township Police arrested two Freehold residents Sunday after they allegedly robbed two men and resisted arrest. Ryan W.  Chapman, 31, of Burki Place and Mashantii W. Troy, 28, of Kentucky Way each face four charges of robbery, obstructing administration, resisting arrest, and hindering following a Sunday incident.   According to a complaint warrant, Chapman allegedly took $1,500 from a man in Freehold Township while he allegedly struck the man numerous times in the face, head, and body with closed fists. A separate complaint warrant explains that Troy also allegedly robbed a man by taking a prescription bottle of Zanax tablets and $12 cash.
