A Freehold Borough resident faces a total of six weapon and robbery charges after he allegedly used a handgun to scare people into giving him money. Jordan Ellis, 20, of Jackson Street, was arrested following multiple alleged robberies. According to Ellis’ complaint warrant, On March 8 Ellis committed the act of robbery by threatening to harm a man and his family members if the victim did not make a withdraw from a Freehold Borough ATM. In January, Ellis allegedly brandished a black handgun on four different occasions. On Jan. 16 and Jan 23, Ellis is accused of forcing two men into withdrawing money from their bank accounts. A Freehold man has been charged with robbery after he allegedly used a knife in the robbery of a Hess gas station.
A Freehold man faces additional charges of robbery and weapon possession after he allegedly robbed an Ocean Township gas station. Tionne Henderson, 23, of Ford Avenue, has been charged with robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. Henderson allegedly brandished a knife during the robbery and took $150. According to Henderson’s complaint warrant, he allegedly robbed the Hess gas station on Jan. 22, three days after he allegedly used a knife in a robbery of the International Mexican Grocery store also in Ocean Township. Henderson has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI) on $92,500.

A Freehold man allegedly used a knife during a robbery of an Ocean Township grocery store.
Ocean Township Police arrested a Freehold man after he allegedly used a knife in a robbery of a Route 35 grocery store. Tionne Henderson, 23, of Ford Avenue, faces four charges following a January incident. According to Henderson’s complaint warrant, on Jan. 19, he entered the International Mexican Grocery store and produced a knife to the cashier and demanded money. Henderson allegedly took $400 from the store. Henderson has been charged with robbery, possessing a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and making terroristic threats. A Freehold man was charged with robbery after he attempted to shoplift from a store and in the process, injured a loss prevention officer.
A Freehold man has been charged with robbery after he allegedly attempted to shoplift from CVS. Freehold Borough Police arrested Luis A. Colon-Rosario, 34, of Avenue A, on Sunday, Feb. 17. According to Rosario’s complaint warrant, he committed the act of robbery by inflicting bodily harm against a loss prevention officer during a shoplifting investigation at CVS. Rosario has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI) on $50,000.

Two Newark women allegedly robbed a house and threatened two people inside the home.
A Monmouth County grand jury voted to indict two Newark women with robbery after they allegedly broke into a Freehold home. Monique A. Kennedy and Raquel N. McLean, both 36, are accused of committing a robbery on Sept. 7. According to their indictment, in the course of the theft both women inflicted bodily injury and threatened the two people within the home. The indictment did not specify what the threats were, but explained that they made the two people in the residence fear immediate bodily injury. The area of the alleged robbery was not identified in the court documents.

Three Asbury Park men were also indicted along with the Freehold residents.
A Monmouth County grand jury voted to indict three Freehold residents and three Asbury Park residents of robbery following an Oct. incident. Edward O’Neal, 26, Freehold, Wesley A. Kelly, 33, Freehold, Kharri M. Pringle, 24, Freehold, Tykeem A. Jones, 23, Asbury Park, Mario D. Shader, 27, Asbury Park, and Gregory Hopson Jr., 24, of Asbury Park were indicted on Wednesday, Oct. 10. According to the indictment, the six men robbed someone in Asbury Park on Oct. 2. While robbing the victim, the men allegedly used force and made the victim fear immediate injury. The indictment did not state what was taken from the victim during the alleged robbery.

The Freehold Borough Police Department arrested and charged a Borough man with one count of robbery, and one count of burglary, after he allegedly stole a bicycle and illegally entered a Jackson Street structure. Khiry Carpenter, 18, of Center Street, allegedly stole a bicycle while in Freehold Borough on Tuesday. According to the complaint warrant, Carpenter allegedly hurt the owner of the bicycle in the process of the robbery. The warrant did not state what injuries the victim sustained. In addition to the robbery charge, Carpenter faces one burglary charge after he allegedly entered a structure on Jackson Street and removed property. The alleged robbers fled on foot onto Ryan Road.
Freehold Township Police, Manalapan Township Police, and the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office responded to the Gulf Gas Station and Cumberland Farms Store at the intersection of Rt. 9 and Ryan Rd. on Monday, July 30 at around 1 a.m. for a reported robbery. The suspects told two male store employees that they were armed with handgunds and demanded money, according to Manalapan Township Police Captain Mike Fountain. After the robbery the two suspects, described as white males in their late teen years or early twenties, fled the area on foot onto Ryan Rd. Freehold Township Police arrested two Freehold residents Sunday after they allegedly robbed two men and resisted arrest. Ryan W. Chapman, 31, of Burki Place and Mashantii W. Troy, 28, of Kentucky Way each face four charges of robbery, obstructing administration, resisting arrest, and hindering following a Sunday incident. According to a complaint warrant, Chapman allegedly took $1,500 from a man in Freehold Township while he allegedly struck the man numerous times in the face, head, and body with closed fists. Local man charged with robbery after his Tuesday arrest.
A Freehold man faces two charges of robbery after he allegedly took possessions from a juvenile. Carl J. Davis, 46, of Throckmorton Street, was arrested on Tuesday, July 10 by Freehold Borough Police Lieutenant Michael Sweetman. According to the complaint warrant, Davis was allegedly present during the robbery of the juvenile and allegedly participated in the robbery of the victim. The complaint warrant further explains that there was probable cause to arrest Davis following victim statements and a police investigation. Davis has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution on $30,000 bail for the two charges.
