Runner’s High Presents Half-Marathon Training Program

Enrollment for the program is going on now.

Runner’s High has teamed up with an area running coach to go the extra mile with those interested in running a half-marathon. Runner’s High is one of the area’s top stores for all running apparel and needs, but in February, Runner’s High will also become a half-marathon training center. Starting on Feb. 11, Coach Brian Shea of Personal Best Nutrition (PBN) will kick off a half-marathon running program designed to condition beginner and intermediate runners for the Long Branch Half Marathon in May.  "This isn't a cookie-cutter program," explained Craig Segal, co-owner of the Freehold Runner's High location. "Coach Brian Shea has coached world champions and local runners. This program is one-on-one based with interaction with [Shea] him." …

Runner's High Collecting Essentials for Hurricane Victims

Runner's High Freehold location is collecting clothing and blankets for those in need.

A shoe collection started by a local business has turned into a clothing and essential drive for victims of Hurricane Sandy. After Sandy hit, Runner’s High in Freehold was left without power, but that did not stop the store from helping out those in need. According to the Runner’s High facebook page, multiple store locations started collecting old shoes from residents on Saturday. As the days after the hurricane continued, Runner’s High in Freehold and Metuchen began collecting clothing and blankets. In an email to Patch, Rob DeFilippis, Owner of Runner’s High, explained that a Runner’s High employee lives in Union Beach and is working the front lines there.
