A local man has been accused of sexually assaulting someone while in Freehold Borough. Freehold Borough Police arrested Leonard Mincey Jr., 42, of South Street, after he allegedly sexually assaulted someone on Sunday, Dec. 9. According to Mincey’s complaint warrant, the person he sexually assaulted was incapable of understanding the nature of the conduct. The complaint warrant further explained that Mincey knew that the person was incapable of providing consent. Mincey has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI) on $100,000 bail.

Man faces three charges following the Dec. 1 incident.
Less than a week after the sexual assault and burglary of a Stonehurst Boulevard home, a man has been arrested and charged with the crime. Freehold Township Police arrested Ivan Vasquez, 26, and charged him with burglary, sexual assault, and theft. Vasquez, also a resident of Stonehurst Boulevard, allegedly entered a neighbor’s home on Saturday, Dec. 1. According to his complaint warrant, once inside the home, Vazquez sexually assaulted the woman there. Before leaving, he allegedly took $800 from a dresser draw. Vazquez has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution on $250,000 bail.

Man faces three charges including sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
A Monmouth County grand jury voted to indict a Howell man after he allegedly sexually assaulted a child while in Freehold Borough. Earlier this year, Kyle Riker, 25, of North American Drive, was arrested by Freehold Borough Police after he allegedly had sexual intercourse with a 12-year-old child. Following his arrest, an indictment was handed down by a grand jury on Friday, Sept. 7. Riker was charged with sexual assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. According to the indictment, Riker had assumed responsibility of the child during the time of the incident. His alleged action classifies the child as an abused or neglected child.

A Freehold man was indicted by a Monmouth County grand jury on Friday after he allegedly had sexual contact with a child. Oscar Lopez, 26, of Clinton Street, is accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old in Freehold Borough. The alleged sexual contact occurred between July 1, 2011 and April 21, 2012. According to the indictment, on April 21 Lopez allegedly used physical force or coercion to commit an act of sexual penetration upon the child. Lopez was indicted on a total of three charges; two counts of sexual assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.

Freehold Borough Police arrested a man for allegedly sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl. According to the complaint warrant, Oscar Lopez, 25, of Freehold, is facing three charges. Lopez was charged with second-degree sexual assault for allegedly penetrating the victim. He is also charged with an act of criminal contact against a 14-year-old victim and endangering the welfare of a child. Lopez’s bail is set at $450,000.

Freehold Borough Police arrested a man for sexually allegedly assaulting a minor. Miguel Garcia III, 29, of Plainsborough, allegedly had sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old victim. According to the complaint warrant, this incident occurred while Garcia was in a supervisory role of the child. Garcia is facing two charges. The first is aggravated sexual assault, a first-degree crime, and the second is endangering the welfare of a child, a second-degree crime. Penalties for a conviction of aggravated sexual assault are up to 20 years in prison and a lifetime registration on the New Jersey Sex Offender Registry, under Megan’s Law. Garcia’s bail is set at $300,000. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 1 at 1:00 p.m.

A resident of 8 Becket Road, where FBI agents were seen yesterday, was arrested and charged with sexual assault and child endangerment.
A Manalapan woman was arrested after allegedly masturbating in front of a 5-year-old, according to an arrest warrant issued by the Manalapan Police Department. Jennifer E. Mahoney, 32, was arrested on Monday, Dec. 13 on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and sexual assault. Manalapan police and FBI agents were observed around Mahoney’s residence at 8 Becket Road on Tuesday morning. FBI agents were seen going in and out of the home and unmarked gold Ford sedans lined the street.
