Additional Charges Filed Against 4 Previously Arrested on Credit Card Fraud

North Jersey residents face additional charges stemming from a Feb. 18 arrest.

Four people arrested last week now face additional charges of receiving stolen property from two Freehold Raceway Mall stores. Ruali Alvarez-Diaz, 45, of Garfield, Rauli Alvarez-Yanes, 20, of Elizabeth, Felix Llaneras, 49, of Union City, and Lisary Garcia, 22, of Elizabeth, each face two charges of receiving stolen property from Lord & Taylor and Sur La Table. According to each person’s complaint warrant, they all allegedly received $1,114.94 worth of leather handbags from Lord & Taylor and $317.80 worth of housewares from Sur La Table. Previously, Diaz faced charges of credit card theft and possession of a fraudulent driver’s license. Yanes was charged with possession of stolen property from Macy’s valued at $517.50. Woman Accused of Passing Forged Prescription at Freehold CVS

Freehold Township Police arrested a woman and charged her with forgery, receiving stolen property and uttering a forged document.

A woman was arrested and charged by Freehold Township Police on Wednesday, after she allegedly attempted to use a forged prescription to obtain a controlled dangerous substance. Valerie Scott, 48, whose last known address is in Rahway, allegedly entered the Freehold Township CVS and tried to fill a prescription for oxycodone. For the alleged action, Scott has been charged with fraud and with receiving stolen property. According to Scott’s complaint warrant, she allegedly knew the prescription blank she possessed was stolen. Scott has also been charged with uttering a forged document. Scott has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI) on $60,000 bail.
