A Freehold girl allegedly struck another person with a white piece of wood.
Freehold Borough Police arrested and charged a resident after she allegedly used a piece of white wood as a weapon. Everina Powell, 19, of Barkalow Avenue, faces three weapon related charges following a Thursday, Feb. 28 incident. According to her complaint warrant, Powell knowingly attempted to commit a serious bodily injury against another person by striking them with a piece of wood. Powell was allegedly found in possession of the piece of wood, she has been charged with two weapon possession charges and one charge of attempting to commit bodily harm. Powell has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI) on $125,000 bail.

A Freehold resident faces two weapon possession charges following a Saturday, Feb. 16 incident.
Freehold Borough Police arrested a Freehold man after he was allegedly found in possession of a white metal pipe. Raul Olivera, 35, of Broad Street, faces two weapon possession charges after he allegedly used a white metal pipe unlawfully. According to his complaint warrant, the circumstances in which Olivera possessed the pipe was not considered an appropriate use. Olivera was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI) on $22,500 bail.

Man faces a total of six charges.
A Monmouth County grand jury voted to indict a Freehold man on three drug charges and three weapon charges following a May incident. Aaron M. Gardner, 22, of Manchester Court, was allegedly found in possession of cocaine and marijuana while in Freehold on May 18. According to the indictment, Gardner was charged with a cocaine possession and two charges of possession with intent to distribute. On the same night, the indictment states that Gardner was in possession of a handgun. Gardner’s alleged handgun possession led to a Monmouth County grand jury charging him with possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a firearm in the course of committing a drug offense.
