You are so wrong. People still go to these restaurants and bars in the winter. And none of the people going to the synagogue will be eating or spending their money at any of these places, with the exception of Tasty Delight, I can't even believe you would say these people will patronize these non-Jewish businesses.

Putting a synagogue in this location will change the entire dynamic of west end and there will be no parking for the local residents. You say anything is better then what it is now? Nope, sorry. Look at Elberon and Lakewood. I would rather west end stay exactly like it is now abandoned building and gorgeous spacious park then to resemble those areas and to have a big religious building taking up space and parking and being tax exempt where it is not zoned for same.

So happy they got this guy. He is definitely dangerous. Mr. Wells was murdered right down the street from my house while me and my kids were sleeping. He obviously is a serial burglar and now has resorted into killing his victims. Scary to think that he was so close to my home.
