I was born in San Francisco and raised in Monterey, California. I live in New Jersey. I am vegan (and formerly vegetarian) for 26 years. I have worked in the corporate world most of my life and, over the years, have volunteered to improve conditions for people, animals and our planet. Some of my activism and affiliations have included:

Former member of my local Board of Education.

Worked to institute spay and neuter policies in New York City through the Shelter Reform Action Committee.

New York Public Interest Research Group (NYPIRG).

Staten Island Citizens for Clean Air, Staten Island, New York. We worked hard and were successful in helping to shut down the Fresh Kills landfill, at the time the largest in the country.

Coordinator of the Say No To Ash committee in Staten Island, New York. This small group helped stop the construction of a toxic ash fill which would have cleared the way to construct eight incinerators throughout New York City. They were never built.

Borough Coordinator of the 1990 Earth Day Committee of Staten Island, New York.

Collaborating with human, animal and environmental groups/causes has greatly enriched my life. Creating peace for all people and animals is my life-long passion. By creating abundant life for sentient beings, we do the same for humanity. Whole food, plant-based diets are restoring vibrancy to the earth and to all life. Be part of the solution.
