ReplyThe right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, "but upon probable cause", "supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized"

Reply" Pockets of strollers will also be subject to searches." One bombing and right away Long Branch officials want to conduct Illegal Searches without a warrant. LB has a long history dating back decades of Corrupt Politicians who have gone to prison one after another for their illegal acts ___thus we the People should all have the Right to search the Pockets of all the politicians because History tells us that LB has a high number of Illegal crooked politicians that are stealing from the pockets of the people of LB.. Good thing it was not a car bomb that was detonated at the Boston Marathon___ or now the LB officials would be saying no cars allowed in LB.

ReplyWhen officials react in this manner ___they are allowing terrorists to WIn and to change our lives. Terrorism is all about Making People Scared and obviously the officials in Long Branch are very scared and giving in and allowing terrorism to change our normal lifestyle. Sad indeed and I am very sure that not being allowed to bring any type of bags will seriously diminish the turnout.
They are illegally taking away our Constitutional RIGHT to be secure in our persons and effects by conducting Illegal searches without Probable Cause other than their inner FEARS embedded in their minds by terrorism which has stolen their minds from them.. -

ReplyNeither the Federal, State nor local governments belong in the Business of competing with the Private sector on renting commercial space. There are far too many vacant stores, vacant offices and other vacant commercial space already sitting idle in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Redevelopment of the Fort will only create MORE vacant commercial space in the Private sector. Everything at Fort Monmouth should be torn down and entirely at Federal Government expense and it should be turned into a Sate Park.

Reply"Accidents happen" and when they do there is usually no Intent to hurt, injure or kill anyone. I have been operating boats at night since 1974 and yes indeed ___boaters at night do somethings strike things in the water that they did not see___be it a log, buoy or other debris floating in the water that they do not see and usually they say "What was that he}} was that as they look around". Just because the vessels made contact does not automatically mean it was seen. Post's small light weight boat could have stuck the aft section of DiGiglio's boat while Di Giglio was look Ahead. If DiGiglio was traveling at even 20MPH by the time he turned to look around behind his boat Posts boat could have easily been 100 or 200 feet away and not been visible seen in the darkness. As the police said " Based upon the areas of damages Post was at fault anyway.

The answer is the political hacks are doing NOTHING to help existing commercial property owners, yet they expect the existing owners of commercail properties to pay property taxes on their existing Vacant properties. More, more , more is all these politicians know and want.

ReplyIt is very sad indeed when Big Government competes with Private sector land developers to rent, lease or sell commercial space. There is already far more than an abundance of Vacant Commercial properties in Monmouth County. The people that own the Existing vacant stores, Vacant office space, Vacant commercial office space are already community Tax Payers and they are being unfairly competed against by Big Government. These mayors and town councils involved should try to do a better more efficient cost effective job of running their own towns before the find time to waste on engaging in unfair competition with private sector business property owners.

Hi Nick, Hopefully you already know the the State of Florida insurance pool CANNOT cover the damages costs should a major hurricane mover suoth to North through the state of FL. There is only about 10% or 10 cents on the dollar in the FL State insurance pool. Neither the State Insurance pool nor the state of Florida has the money to pay out in a $100 billion property damage major hurricane.

ReplyCome on people ___THINK. Sandy was NOT a real hurricane and it only had a few 70 to 80MPH wind gusts. Instead it was merely a large storm that arrived during a Full Moon and High Tide cycle. The new FEMA maps are based upon a REAL HURRICANE. One with 120MPH winds and a storm surge of 16 feet. Few if any of the damaged homes would have survived a REAL HURRICANE with 120 MPH winds and 16 foot storm surge. The last major hurricane to hit NJ was in 1960 which is 52 years ago After that one the worst storm was around 1992 in the form of The Storm of the Century (but still not a real hurricane) . But there is NOTHING IN PLACE to prevent another major storm from doing the exact same things to coastal communities again this or next year. And there is absolutely nothing that can be put in place to prevent it from happening again and again. That is Reality, like it or not folks. El;evate, elevate, elevate is the one and the only solution.

Although she failed to pay 'some of the taxes due or failed to file tax returns for some years". it is also very likely that she DID during her ilfetime pay far more income taxes during her lifetime than any of you fools talking about her will ever earn even if you worked for 200 years.
